"Jigokudani Onsen" - a famous hot spring.
Located in Nagano, North part of Japan.
Catch the Shinkansen from Tokyo station to Nagano, change the line to "Yudanaka" station. After riding the bus for 30 minutes from Yudanaka station, you will be able to walk to the hot spring, "Jigokudani Onsen". The walking will take you about 40 minutes from the bus stop. Although it demands a very hard walk during winter, many tourists visits from overseas to see this hot spring every year. The Jigokudani Onsen is famous for its advertisement used world wide when the Winter Olimpic in Nagano was held. So come and take a bath with Japanese monkeys in Jigokudani Onsen, and enjoy the relaxation of traditional Japanese hot spring, the monkeys, and white snow.
